The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland is available in either four wheel drive or rear wheel drive.  Four wheel drive has three 4×4 driving system options, Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II.  The Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II have a standard Selec-Terrain system, which allows the driver to choose the best option for their off-road or on-road driving needs.  Jeep Grand Cherokee drivers can select from five terrain modes: automatic, sand/mud, sport, snow and rock.

In addition, the all-new Quadra-Lift™ air suspension system allows drivers to customize their off-roading needs.  The system allows for five different height settings to choose from depending on the driving needs and can add up to 4.1 inches of height.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland has the same Hemi V-8 engine as previous models, but will also be available with an all-new Pentastar-V6 engine.  The fuel tank capacity has been increased to 24.6 gallons and achieved an estimated fuel economy of 16city/22hwy. The 2011 Jeep is two inches longer and three inches wider for more legroom and cargo space.

The interior of the 2011 Grand Cherokee also received great updates.  Elements of luxury, including leather seats, a panoramic sunroof overhead, ambient lighting and wood paneling makes it easy to forget that the vehicle is designed for off-roading.

The exterior of the Jeep has been updated to maintain sportiness, but include the same luxurious feel of the interior.  The new features also add new aerodynamics to the vehicle.
